- Tense music is used
- When the main character is in a life threatening situation the music starts slow and then gradually builds up to make the audience on the edge on their seats and it shows the danger getting greater
- Low base instruments are normally used to create tension
- Music is normally in a minor scale
- It's nervracking and makes the audience feel anxious
- Non-digetic music is used this creates suspence
- Digetic sound is used to make the film look more realistic
- The music creates the mood in the thriller
- The music can show the audience the difference between the victums and the villians
- It shows characters personalities, for example if it was about a mental person, when we see him on screen the music will go all unusual to show his insane personality
